Absentee Voting Available Now!!!   2 choices are available:

Absentee Voting via Walk In process:  Monday thru Friday, 8am to 4:30 pm; until 5pm Monday, Nov 7, 2011.  at Westonka School District Offices, 5901 Sunnyfield Rd., Minnetrista MN

Absentee Voting via U. S. Mail:

An eligible voter may vote by absentee ballot during the 46 days before the election. 
Voters are allowed to vote by absentee ballot due to absence from precinct, illness or disability, service as an election judge in another precinct, religious discipline or observance of religious holiday, eligible emergency declared by the governor, or quarantine declared by federal or state government.  

In order to vote by Absentee Ballot, you must submit an application to either the school district election clerk for those residents eligible to vote at one of the two combined polling places; or to the City of Independence city clerk for those eligible voters who reside in the City of Independence precinct. Upon receipt of your application, your absentee ballot will be sent to you when the ballots are available.

You may download an Absentee Ballot Application from the Minnesota Secretary of State website and send it to the proper election official by mail, fax, or email (print off the application, sign it, scan it, and attach to an email as a .pdf). You may also pick up an application at the school district offices or request one by calling 952-491-8007 or emailing shuklec@westonka.k12.mn.us.
